Tarek prepared well for a business that hinges on having an intimate insight of people, their behaviour, motivation and expectations. As a teen in Toronto, he washed dishes, flipped burgers, hauled garbage, and distributed newspapers. Armed with several insights in the inner workings of the human mind, Tarek got ample opportunity to exercise his expertise in several key business categories.
He worked on Beauty with Estee Lauder at Madco, Dubai; Tobacco with British American Tobacco at Grey Worldwide; Automobiles with Ford and Real Estate with Emaar at Y&R, Dubai where he was Client Services Director before founding Birdie. A fleet-footed footballer, Tarek intends to take up golf when he’s free from sinking birdies at Birdie.
